Professor Richard Primack of the Boston University Biology Department (also Editor-in-Chief of the journal Biological Conservation and advisor to the Newton Conservators) is soliciting observations from volunteers for an article he is writing for the Newton Tab on the effects of the warm autumn on the plants and animals of Newton.   Please respond by Tuesday, January 5.

Have any of you seen anything surprising in your walks around Newton that you would like to share,  such as late flowering of plants, persistence of garden plants, unusual flights of insects, or lingering migratory birds?

If you have observations to share with Prof. Primack, please respond to Beth Wilkinson at the Newton Conservators.  She will send your comments to him immediately and will share his article when it is published.
