Walk Around Hemlock Gorge Offers Plenty of History and Nature

GN’s Vice President Jim Purdy led a group of walkers through a tour of Echo Bridge and Hemlock Gorge on Sunday, April 30 as a part of the Newton Conservators series of walks.

The walkers explored the geology, trees, plants and history of DCR Hemlock Gorge Reservation, with a focus on National Register listed Echo Bridge and plans to restore its historic railings.
