15 Bracebridge Road in Newton (across Pleasant Street from the Mason-Rice School) is the home of the Wilson Family, longtime activists with Newton Conservators who donated the Wilson Conservation Area to Newton. They put a conservation restriction (which is held by the Conservators) on 1.5 acres of their 1.9 acre home in order to preserve it as conservation land in perpetuity. There is a path through the wooded part of the land that is open to the public. You are invited to join Newton Conservators to help remove invasive plants near that path on Tuesday, May 9 from 3-5pm.
Leader is Katherine Howard. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
