Every year Green Newton invites local car dealers to bring their electric vehicles for test drives at the Green Expo and this year is no exception. We will have three models of vehicles available for you to try on Sunday, October 15 from 10am-4pm: BMW i3, Nissan Leaf, and the Smartcar Fortwo Coupe.
Electric cars allow convenient charging at your home, no smelly exhaust, and no oil changes. Plus, there are currently a number of financial incentives that will help lower the cost of certain models of EVs. Be sure to stop by the Mass Energy and Sierra Club exhibits to ask about how you can save money on a new electric car.
The Olin College of Engineering students are back and ready to show you the technology behind electric vehicles at their exhibit and to answer your questions.
Also available for test drives this year are a number of electric bicycles! Fifield Bikes, Pedego, and Belmont Wheelworks will be offering test drives of their electric bike models at their tents. See what it feels like to zip along effortlessly on an electric bicycle!
