Green Newton continues to help residents with No-Cost Mass Save Home Energy Assessments and weatherization upgrades. Residents who participate in the program benefit by receiving valuable incentives such as: free safety evaluation of their heating and cooling systems; free check-up of insulation and air sealing needs; free LED bulbs to replace old inefficient bulbs; 75% Mass Save discount on insulation (up to $2,000); up to 12 hours of air-sealing work at no cost. The costs are covered by a fee in everyone’s utility bills.
As an additional incentive, Newton residents who sign agreements by August 31, 2018 to get insulation, air sealing or new boilers in their homes with Green Newton’s Mass Save partner, Able Home Performance, will be entered in a raffle drawing. Three winners will each receive $50 gift cards to use at their favorite Newton restaurants, compliments of Able Home Performance.
