Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke has been reviewing 27 of our national monuments, with the threat of shrinking their borders or rescinding protections. On August 24, he’ll deliver his recommendations to the president.  We need to show the Trump administration how important our public lands are to the people who live, work, and play in them.

On Saturday, August 19 from 12-1 pm, come show support for keeping our public lands protected. Bring your friends, family, and anyone else who feels strongly about preserving our public lands to Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park, Atlantic Ave., Boston (map) . Rally with us to protect wilderness, both here in New England, and across the country. We will have some signs available at the event, but please bring your own! Learn about the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument.

Christopher Columbus Park is easily accessible from the Aquarium stop on the MBTA Blue Line or an approx. 10 walk from either Haymarket, Government Center or South Station.

Sponsored by MA Sierra Club and joined by the partner organizations: Environmental League of Massachusetts, Conservation Law Foundation, Natural Resources Defense Council, Trustees of Reservation, Humane Society of the United States, and Women Working for Oceans.
