Presentation ‘The New Do’s and Don’ts of Recycling Plastic’ at the Newton Free Library on October 25

Confused about what to put in your green recycling bin? On Thursday, October 25 at 7pm in the Druker Auditorium of the Newton Free Library (330 Homer St., Newton), learn about the impact of new regulations in the global recycling industry and how they affect Newton on the local level. Given the amount of plastic waste that is generated annually, and its impact on solid waste management systems, the current plastic recycling methods have become unsustainable.

Learn what can and cannot be recycled from Waneta Trabert, City of Newton Director of Sustainable Materials Management, and a representative from Waste Management. Cosponsored by Green Newton.
