Join Us on Wednesday, May 23 at 3pm at Newton City Hall (1000 Commonwealth Ave., Newton) for City of Newton Proclamation of Rachel Carson Day. Rachel Carson’s birthday on May 27 is an annual call to action for the policies and safeguards that protect our health and community from threats such as climate change, pollution, and waste.
This will be an occasion to promote our personal and civic leadership for energy efficiency, pollution prevention and conservation of natural resources as well as encouraging our fellow citizens to vote for our environmental values.
