Welcome to Newton Goes Solar!

Please join us at the Newton Goes Solar info session on Saturday, April 8 from 10:15-11:45am at Historic Newton’s Durant-Kenrick House (286 Waverley Ave, Newton).

Are you interested in solar for your home?

Green Newton is proud to sponsor a new solar initiative for 2017–Newton Goes Solar.  We are here to answer your questions on home solar installations and to get you started on going solar.

Newton Goes Solar provide you with detailed information online, public information sessions, and solar coaches to help make the process easy.

We have selected two highly qualified suppliers to work with, one specializing in PPA (Power Purchase Agreements) and the other specializing in Customer Owned systems.  Our community will have the opportunity to receive free quotes and discounted pricing on solar systems installed by our solar partners.

  • Direct Energy Solar for Customer Owned systems
  • Level Solar for PPA (Power Purchase Agreements)

Why go solar?

  • Rooftop solar is more affordable than ever through incentives, lower costs, and improved equipment efficiency

  • Little or no maintenance–no moving parts!

  • You save money on your electric bill every month

  • Every solar installation is a huge win for the environment–reduces use of fossil fuels and greenhouse gas emissions

  • Our program makes it easy to learn about solar, weigh options, and connect with highly qualified installers.

How do you get started?

Please join us at the Newton Goes Solar info session on Saturday, April 8 from 10:15-11:45am at Historic Newton’s Durant-Kenrick House (286 Waverley Ave, Newton).

Green Newton will discuss the benefits of going solar and our latest initiative, Newton Goes Solar. The goal of this initiative is to educate our community about the benefits of rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, and to increase the number of residential solar installations in our community. Residents of Newton and neighboring communities are invited. Learn about solar from Green Newton representatives and meet with our solar partners to ask questions or request a free home solar assessment. Free.
