Fun and Learning Had by All at Green Expo 2016

Under a bright autumn sky in Newton Centre on Sunday October 16, the Green Expo drew crowds of adults and children to booths offering eco-friendly products and services, information on how to live sustainably, free LED bulbs, a composting bin raffle, and of course–the magic energy bike. Here’s a snapshot of the day’s events:

SGW’s Margaret Ford helps an ‘energizer’ in pink charge up the Magic Energy Bike.

Max & Julian feed boy to Al Gore the bear!

GN board member Time Killilea takes the Lawnmower Fitness Challenge–he was indeed fit enough to push an electric mower!

Karen Bray of Newton Safe and Sound speaks on the leaf blower issue.

We can always use a recycling refresher.

Max & Julian try out falcon wings on the Tesla.

Green Expo Exhibitor Upland Road offers many eco-friendly options.
