‘Steps for Lowering Carbon Emissions’ GN Talk

Join Green Newton in their next in their speaker series ‘Steps for Lowering Carbon Emissions’ in the Druker Auditorium of the Newton Free Library (330 Homer St., Newton) on Monday, February 25 at 7pm.
Local author, Roy Morrison, will share his ideas for how Newton can serve as a sustainable model for small cities everywhere. Morrison was Founding Director of the Office for Sustainability at Southern New Hampshire University. He works on building solar farms. A six megawatt solar farm in Beckett, Massachusetts that he originated recently went online. His latest book is “Sustainability Sutra”, Select Books, NY (2017). He has also delivered a plenary speech at the World Social Congress in Hangzhou, China that issued the Hangzhou declaration for building a global ecological civilization, which he helped edit. https://www.amazon.com/RoyMorrison/e/B000APW44U.
Also, presenting at this program will be Alan Nogee, the founder of Friends of Cold Spring Park and former clean energy program Director of Union of Concerned Scientists.
