On Tuesday, January 23, students are calling on legislators to ‘Put A Price On It’. Young people from around the state are convening at the Boston State House on January 23 at 10am to let our lawmakers know that it is time to pass comprehensive climate policy in the form of a price on carbon. Will you be there?
As we return to school from winter break, join Our Climate and friends from across Massachusetts in a community-wide call for bold climate action! As the generations most affected by climate change, the power to advocate for strong and fair climate policy is in our hands. That’s why we’re inviting students and young people like you to come together to fight for a price on carbon through a day of advocacy and art!
Featuring live music, direct lobbying, performance art, and a creative mosaic created by young people across New England, this collaborative event unites communities across the region in the fight for climate action and a celebration of our shared environment.
Agenda for the day:
10:00-10:15 – Gather outside statehouse
10:15-11:00 – Lobby training
11:00-11:20 – Opening remarks, performance
11:20-2:00 – Lobby meetings, schmoozing, food and photo
