Philip Warburg will discuss his latest book, Harness the Sun: America’s Quest for a Solar-Powered Future, on Thursday, April 28 at 7 pm (Newton Community Farm, 303 Nahanton St., Newton Centre). The book addresses solar energy’s dramatic rise and challenges facing its future.
According to renewable energy writer and speaker, Philip Warburg, the way we produce and consume energy is about to change, drastically. In his research and interviews, Warburg has discovered a common ground among a diverse array of people, who are finding new ways to tap the sun’s power and lower carbon emissions.
A graduate of Harvard Law School, Warburg has served as president of the Conservation Law Foundation, and executive director of the Israel Union for Environmental Defense. His previous book is Harvest the Wind: America’s Journey to Jobs, Energy Independence, and Climate Stability.
